Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced procurement specialist to source and procure metal materials, subcontracted processes, and standard components. The ideal candidate will coordinate with suppliers and the engineering team for processes like metal bending, milling, turning, and surface treatments. Key tasks include managing daily purchasing activities, issuing purchase orders (POs), tracking deliveries, preparing and maintaining supplier performance reports and purchasing records, identifying and evaluating new suppliers, negotiating pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions, ensuring on-time delivery, verifying quality, and issuing NCRs for non-conforming products, and maintaining purchasing documentation and entering order details into the accounting system.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you'll need a GCE 'O' Level, ITE, or Diploma in Engineering Studies. Additionally, 2-3 years of experience in general industrial purchasing or sourcing, proficiency in computer applications and purchasing systems, and excellent communication skills are essential.
