Job Overview

This role involves leading and coordinating the development, establishment, and management of emergency operational plans; coordinating operations between and across divisions; ensuring readiness of resources and processes to support critical functions during emergencies.

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing emergency logistics plans, acquiring and managing resources, and leading planning, development, establishment, and management of emergency operational plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the development, establishment, and management of emergency operational plans
  • Coordinate operations between and across divisions
  • Evaluate readiness of resources and processes to support critical functions during emergencies

This position requires a high level of autonomy and independence, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make timely and informed decisions under pressure.

Requirements
  • At least 4-6 years of working experience in Emergency Planning and/or Business Continuity Planning
  • Certification in emergency/crisis management is advantageous
  • Ability to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and develop mitigation strategies in consultation with affected internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing emergency response (ops support) plans, protocols, and procedures
  • Demonstrated skills in clear and effective communication during emergencies
  • Capacity to allocate and manage resources efficiently, including personnel, equipment, supplies, and finances
  • Capability to make timely and informed decisions under pressure, considering risk, impact, and available resources
  • Able to structure, categorise information and reflect these in writing (e.g. for policies and planning)
  • Versatile in both deskbound and operational work
  • Mature, independent and resourceful
  • Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement
  • Able and willing to work on weekend and after office hours if needed
