Group Technology and Operations

Group Technology and Operations (T&O) is responsible for managing the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspiring to delight its business partners through multiple banking delivery channels.

Mobile Frameworks Program

This is a unique opportunity to drive the engineering and delivery of our mobile frameworks program, focusing on modern technology stacks, engineering quality, and delivery.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Mobile Frameworks Lead to head up a team of talented developers who will be designing, building, and maintaining the next generation of native iOS/Android libraries and frameworks. Your duties will include:

  • Collaborating with the design team to ensure that our UI/UX components conform to platform design guidelines.
  • Identifying and fixing development bottlenecks.
  • Maintaining the core code libraries (networking, error handling, templating, etc.).
  • Working with the DevOps team to maintain our shared CI/CD pipelines.
  • Supporting applications published on the App Store.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Loves solving problems and building solutions.
  • Believes in Agile development and putting the customer first in anything they design; experience with SCRUM is a plus.
  • Is self-motivated and has a demonstrated track record of self-learning and going above and beyond.
  • Has strong working knowledge of iOS/Android libraries and frameworks.
  • Has experience with industry standard design patterns such as MVVM, Dependency Injection.
  • Is well-versed with iOS/Android design principles and application interface guidelines.
  • Has used dependency management tools for iOS/Android such as Cocoapods, Carthage, SPM, Maven, Gradle, etc.
  • Is familiar with CI/CD pipelines including Jenkins and Groovy.
  • Is a hands-on leader that regularly codes.
  • Is comfortable leading by example, a strong advocate of good coding standards, and likes the use of coding tools that will push them to improve the code they deliver.
  • Understands the importance of thoughtful feedback, nurturing an inclusive engineering environment, championing engineering fundamentals, and providing clarity and mentorship for team members to grow.
  • Wants to hit the ground running on Day 1; they take ownership of their work and can work independently.
  • Loves Git and is at home with source control concepts such as merge, rebase, and pull.
