Overview
The School of Social Sciences invites applications for a Part-Time Lecturer to teach in our programme. We are seeking an individual who can contribute to teaching and developing courses, particularly in the areas of Political Theory, Public Policy or Public Administration, Environmental governance, Civil society, Gender and development, Ethics and Civics, and Comparative politics.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop course materials and syllabus
- Conduct seminars/lectures/tutorials
- Develop assessments for the course
- Grade course assignments (including tests, quizzes, exam scripts)
- Invigilate the final examination
- Handle all student queries on course related matters
- Work with the Head of Division to ensure smooth and timely course delivery
Qualifications and Requirements
- A PhD in social sciences, specialisation in a political science subfield will be an advantage
- Prior tutoring/lecturing experience will be an advantage
- Able to teach and invigilate during office hours
