Solar Power Systems Specialist

Job Summary:

The Solar Power Systems Specialist will be responsible for designing and implementing solar power systems for various clients. This includes conducting site visits, assessing feasibility, and proposing suitable solar solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site visits to assess the feasibility of solar power systems.
  • Design rooftop and ground-mounted PV systems, including layouts, SLDs, schematics, and BOQ preparation.
  • Perform system sizing calculations and use PV simulation software for performance analysis.
  • Prepare and submit design documents for approvals while ensuring compliance with local codes and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with engineers, suppliers, and stakeholders to align designs with project requirements.
  • Oversee scheduling, factory inspections, and project execution to ensure quality and adherence to timelines.
  • Review and update design files to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with installation, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide service support as needed.

Qualifications & Experiences:

  • Nitec/ITE/Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience or 1 year of solar PV experience (fresh graduates welcome to apply).
  • Knowledge in electrical design concepts.
  • Ability to quickly read and understand construction plans and schematics diagrams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Autocad, and construction software.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment, communicate concisely to all levels of the organization, and maintain effectiveness while working autonomously or collaboratively.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage deliverables for multiple projects at a time.
