Campus Host Opportunity

The University Cultural Centre is seeking a reliable and courteous individual to work as an event host. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, ensuring the smooth execution of events, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for attendees.

Key Responsibilities:
• Greet patrons upon arrival, directing them to their seats or designated areas
• Ensure all attendees are aware of house rules and safety protocols
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment
• Utilize problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during events
• Engage in communication with patrons, responding to feedback and concerns in a prompt and professional manner

Requirements:
• Ability to communicate fluently in English
• Proficiency in working in a fast-paced environment with varying conditions (limited lighting, loud music, etc.)
• Capacity to stand for extended periods and climb stairs
• Service-oriented, team player, patient, and proactive attitude

Working Conditions:
• Kent Ridge Campus location
• Variable shifts, including evenings and weekends
