Job Description:

We are seeking an exceptional Data Scientist with a strong background in quantitative analysis and expertise in machine learning. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research on proprietary and alternative datasets, developing advanced statistical models to extract fundamental insights for Portfolio Managers and Analysts, and tackling challenging quant problems using cutting-edge machine learning and deep learning toolkits.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Financial Engineering or a related quantitative field, plus 1 year of professional experience in quantitative research and analysis in the financial or investment industry. They will possess a strong foundation in statistical techniques, including Bayesian inference, Principal Component Analysis (PCA), and random forests, as well as expertise in Python, Linux, AWS, and Docker for cloud-based machine learning workflows.

The selected candidate will also have hands-on experience with machine learning algorithms, including decision trees, neural networks, genetic programming, boosting algorithms, and ensemble methods, and will be able to implement these algorithms to predict returns, including data cleaning, feature engineering, feature selection, cross-validation, hyperparameter tuning, and model deployment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Financial Engineering or a related quantitative field
  • 1 year of professional experience in quantitative research and analysis in the financial or investment industry
  • Strong foundation in statistical techniques, including Bayesian inference, PCA, and random forests
