The successful candidate will lead research projects and studies to synthesize novel COE antibiotics, working with microbiologists to understand the structure-activity-relationship.
Key Responsibilities- Lead research projects and studies to synthesize novel COE antibiotics.
- Synthesize COE antibiotics.
- Understand the structural-activity-relationship of COE antibiotics.
- Carry out pharmacological studies with collaborators.
- PhD in polymer chemistry, organic chemistry, materials science, or a closely related field.
- Expertise in polymer synthesis and organic synthesis.
- Experience with material characterization techniques, including NMR, FTIR, GPC, AFM, DLS, DSC, TEM/SEM, UV-vis, and fluorescence spectroscopy.
- Experience with nanoparticle formulation or polymer self-assembly.
- Experience with developing conjugated polymers/oligomers.
- Experience with developing polymers for biological/pharmacological applications.
- Evidence of research experience in a multi-disciplinary collaborative environment.
- Experience with air-free manipulation and synthesis.
