Job Title: Manufacturing Process Specialist

This is a senior-level engineering role responsible for designing and refining repair processes in the Engine Shop.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to interpret technical data, drawings, and engine manuals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and optimize repair processes for plasma spray, machining, and sheet metal repair, mechanical/chemical cleaning, and paint shop to ensure alignment with operational and quality standards.
  2. Provide technical expertise in machines and equipment, including plasma spray technologies and TIG welding systems, to drive efficiency and innovation.
  3. Collaborate with Powerplant engineers to design, draft, and review alternate methods for engine disassembly and assembly processes.
  4. Create and maintain repair traveler worksheet standard work for operation.
  5. Perform investigations into repair processes driven by engine events.
  6. Review out-of-manual conditions and propose engineering solutions related to engine part repair and overhaul processes.
  7. Draft and review tool/fixture drawings, tool bulletins, and maintain tools to the latest configuration.
  8. Coordinate with OEM on modification and local fabrication of tools.
  9. Provide technical assistance with the operation of high-technical intensity/complex shop equipment, such as CMM, Vane Flow machine, and Balancing machines.
  10. Lead/support new product introduction and perform First Article Inspection (FAI).
  11. Lead/co-ordinate site-level Process Certification.
  12. Support quality improvements activities using the Customer-Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) operating system.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  2. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in repair process development.
  3. Able to interpret technical data, drawings, and engine manuals (SB, SPM, EM, and CIR).
  4. Good working knowledge of MS Office applications (Words, Excel, Projects, and PowerPoint).
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Versatile worker who can work well in a team setting and independently.
  7. Ability to think and process information at macro and micro levels.
  8. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
