About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled IoT Platform Engineer to join our team at Evolution Recruitment Solutions PTE. LTD. as a key member of our technology team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Internet of Things (IoT) platform, ensuring seamless integration with our data pipelines and private cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Platform Management: Lead the setup and management of our IoT platform, utilizing tools such as PTC Kepware and PTC ThingWorx to ensure optimal performance.
  • System Development: Build and maintain systems that connect machines (PLCs) to our data pipelines, ensuring efficient data flow and minimal latency.
  • Software Application Management: Manage and improve software applications (in Docker) that run in our private cloud, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Integration and Testing: Collaborate with engineers to set up and test connections between machines and databases, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with developers, system administrators, and other team members to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of our IoT platform.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum degree in a relevant field such as Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

Key requirements include:

  • Practical Experience: Proven experience working with machines and IoT platforms, with a strong understanding of IoT technologies and platforms.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with IoT platforms, particularly Siemens PLCs, PTC Kepware/ThingWorx, and Linux operating systems, as well as scripting languages such as JavaScript.
  • Programming Skills: Hands-on experience in object-oriented programming from any language, with a strong understanding of software development principles.
