Researcher in Natural Language Processing

">Job Description:

The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is a leading institution in the field. We are seeking a talented researcher to join our team and contribute to the development of multimodal large language models.

This project involves conducting research on improving the memory, sample, and time efficiency of large language model training. The successful candidate will work on developing algorithms and implementing a prototype system with capabilities such as conversational information retrieval, multimodal sense making, question answering, and chain-of-thoughts.

Additionally, the researcher will be responsible for publishing papers in top-tier conferences and journals, collaborating with team members and funding agencies, and co-supervising MSc and Final Year Project students involved in this project.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Strong expertise in natural language processing and large language models.
  • At least 1 year of research experience in NLP and LLM.
  • Excellent publication track record on top-tier conferences and journals.
  • Proficiency in Python programming language.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
