Job Title: Legal Associate - Maritime, Trade and Offshore Finance

Job Description:

This exciting opportunity will see you join a dynamic team within a leading international law firm, specializing in maritime, trade and offshore finance.

As a junior/mid-level associate, your role will involve a broad range of marine asset finance, general banking and project finance transactions for clients across the region.

You will have the opportunity to work on market-leading, high-profile deals, drafting and reviewing financing or leasing documentation, negotiating transaction documents, conducting legal research, and supporting client file management and relationships.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting and reviewing financing or leasing documentation;
  • Negotiating transaction documents;
  • Conducting legal research;
  • Supporting client file management and relationships;

Candidates must be able to deliver very high-quality standards, demonstrate passion for delivering excellence to clients, and thrive in a busy and successful working environment.

The ideal candidate will be an ambitious and enthusiastic lawyer with excellent communication skills, who brings their energy and intellectual curiosity to our dynamic team.

We are looking for a qualified lawyer with experience gained in private practice, preferably in asset, project and/or banking finance. Strong academic credentials are expected, and candidates must be able to develop informal internal and external networks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong academic record;
  • Proven finance legal experience in private practice, ideally in asset, project and/or banking finance;
  • Excellent communication and numerical skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills;
