Job Title

Infrastructure Log Management Expert is responsible for managing infrastructure logs and implementing log collection and monitoring systems.

  • About the Role
  • We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Log Management Expert who can design, implement, and optimize log pipelines for high-volume log ingestion from infrastructure devices.
  • The successful candidate will lead the onboarding process of network devices, storage arrays, and server systems into log collection and monitoring systems.
  • Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining device-specific log configurations, integrating log sources from multi-vendor environments, and implementing filtering and tagging strategies to categorize logs by device type, location, and criticality.
  • The role also involves creating and maintaining dashboards tailored for infrastructure monitoring, providing real-time visibility into device health, performance, and security events.
  • Furthermore, the expert will develop alerting rules for critical infrastructure events and automate device onboarding and log pipeline deployment using scripting and configuration management tools.
  • In addition, the Infrastructure Log Management Expert will collaborate with network, storage, and server teams to ensure comprehensive log coverage and rapid incident response.
  • About You
  • We require a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with log management in large-scale, multi-client environments.
  • Strong knowledge of log formats (syslog, SNMP, vendor-specific), device management protocols, and log forwarding best practices is essential.
  • Proficiency in version control using Git and familiarity with IT service management integration, including automated workflows, are required.
  • Experience with security and compliance requirements for infrastructure log management is a plus.
  • Tech Skills
  • Network devices: Cisco, Juniper, etc.
  • Storage arrays: EMC, NetApp, HPE, etc.
  • Log management: log pipeline design, syslog/SNMP integration, log parsing and enrichment
  • ELK Stack: Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Elastic Agents, Beats
  • Automation: Shell scripting, Python, configuration management tools
  • Integration: ServiceNow, IT service management platforms, API-based automation
  • Monitoring: Custom dashboards, alerting, health checks
Requirements:
