Senior Editor Job in Southern Asia Economy and Government

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Editor to lead our coverage of the economy and government in South and Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of editing high-quality, award-winning stories and working across multiple platforms and formats.

The successful editor will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with reporters to develop and execute ambitious enterprise stories across the region.
  • Pitching in on daily coverage as needed and working closely with other teams to elevate coverage.
  • Building relationships across the newsroom to ensure comprehensive and engaging coverage.
  • Promoting diversity of thought and representation throughout our coverage.

Requirements include:

  • At least 7 years of experience in business journalism.
  • Experience working in a real-time news environment.
  • Strong understanding of economics and politics.
  • Ability to make sound news decisions quickly.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualifications.
