Job Title

A highly motivated and experienced Mathematics Educator is required to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Mathematics at A-Level and Pre-University Foundation Programme levels.

About the Role

The Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for preparing and implementing a full educational teaching plan according to the school's requirements. This will involve providing knowledge and instruction to students while also helping them develop their personalities and skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and conduct lessons according to the course syllabus and scheme of work.
  • Deliver lessons and provide necessary supervision to students as a mentor or form teacher.
  • Provide necessary supervision to the students, manage the classroom, and address discipline issues.
  • Prepare and mark examination papers and assignments.
  • Monitor the performance and progress of each student and provide academic counselling.
  • Teach students according to their aptitude (Differentiated Teaching)
  • Perform Intervention duties: Identify and discuss students' academic and pastoral needs with parents/academic team/student relations to find a way to help students.
  • Attend team meetings and staff development workshops.
  • Enable students to attain required proficiency for university admission.
  • Perform any other tasks as may be assigned on an ad-hoc basis as needed.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who has:

  • A minimum Bachelor's degree relevant to the subject to be taught.
  • A minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Cambridge A Level / GCE A Level / Further Education ('FE') in a school setting.
  • Ability to inspire students' interest in learning and create a strong affinity with the students.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, logical thinker, team player.
