Description:

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an APAC Privacy, Cybersecurity and Digital Compliance Specialist. This role will be responsible for providing strategic legal support to ensure privacy, cybersecurity and digital regulatory compliance readiness across the Asia Pacific region.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of various APAC privacy, cybersecurity and digital regulations and other applicable regulations. They will provide advisory support in regulatory matters and incident management, and develop strategies to ensure compliance with changing laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic legal support to ensure privacy, cybersecurity and digital regulatory compliance readiness across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Develop and implement compliance strategies to ensure adherence to changing laws and regulations.
  • Provide advisory support in regulatory matters and incident management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving privacy, cybersecurity and digital trends, best practices and legal and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A law degree and qualified to practice.
  • At least 8 years of experience in data privacy law.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Deep understanding of various APAC privacy, cybersecurity and digital regulations and other applicable regulations.
  • Ability to form solid assumptions and formulate decisions and recommendations from diverse facts and information.
Preferred Qualifications:

Certification from relevant professional organizations, such as the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Work experience in a large global law firm and/or Fortune 500 environment in an attorney role is strongly preferred.
