The Finance Business Partner Lead at Plaza Premium Lounge Singapore Pte. Ltd. is a critical role that requires strategic financial management and leadership skills to drive business growth. This position oversees all aspects of financial management, performance management, financial accounting, budgeting, corporate reporting, and risk management.

Responsibilities

This position involves providing sound financial advice and counsel on working capital, financing, or the financial position of the organization by synthesizing internal and external data and studying the economic environment. The successful candidate will have a key role in implementing best practices to identify and manage financial and business risks and meet the organization's desired business and fiscal goals.

The responsibilities include:
  • Managing the organization's financial accounting and corporate reporting functions.
  • Supervising and reviewing the preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, and forecasts for management and external stakeholders.
  • Monitoring changes and emerging trends in accounting standards and regulation.
  • Providing financial leadership and strategic thinking to support sustainable value-creation.
  • Applying professional judgement to identify accounting treatments adopted in financial statements and assess their suitability and acceptability.

Taxation-Related Functions

This position also involves managing taxation-related functions within the organization, including:
  • Supervising the calculation of taxable income and income tax liabilities of the organization.
  • Assessing the chargeable gains and losses of the organization, as well as capital gain tax liabilities.
  • Resolving tax-related issues with external tax experts.
  • Articulating to management all relevant tax issues to minimize the organization's tax liabilities.

Business Partnership and Strategy

The Finance Business Partner Lead supports the organization as a business partner by advising management on the organization's exposure to risks, analyzing current market trends, providing strategic input to shape key financial decisions, and compiling and presenting management information for managerial decision making.

This position also involves identifying and understanding the financing needs of the organization, calculating both financial and non-financial performance measurements for reporting on the organization's performance, overseeing the preparation of the organization's budget, interpreting, investigating, and reporting to management on variances, and developing a full understanding of the inter-relationships between variances.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess a degree in accountancy or any equivalent professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, etc.).

A minimum of 5 years of working experience, preferably with hospitality/F&B industry exposure and with audit experience, is required.

The candidate should have good knowledge of finance/accounting policies and procedures, GST, Singapore tax, audit, and accounting laws, practices, and regulations.

Excellent organizational, strategic planning skills, highly responsible, and reliable with exceptional attention to details are essential.

An influential finance leader with good analytical and problem-solving skills is required.

A team player with an ability to function effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is necessary.

Proficiency in MS Office is mandatory. Candidates experienced in using Sun accounting software would stand at an advantage.

Travelling may be required.

Estimated Salary: SGD 120,000 - SGD 180,000 per annum
