Job Title: Mechanical Materials Handling Engineer Lead
Are you a seasoned mechanical engineer with expertise in materials handling? Do you have experience in leading teams and managing projects? We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Materials Handling Engineer Lead to join our team.
Job Description:
- Lead the development of material handling layouts, reports, and philosophies for various projects.
- Collaborate with operations teams to meet operations and maintainability requirements.
- Work closely with inter-disciplinary teams to avoid design changes during engineering design maturity.
- Prepare data sheets, technical briefs, and vendor data records for material handling equipment.
- Integrate handling methods in design, select, size, quantity, and specify material handling equipment.
- Develop valve matrices and valve handling study reports.
- Conduct monorail and transfer device feasibility studies.
- Perform pad-eye, beam clamp, lay-down, and hatch location studies.
- Comply with human factor ergonomics engineering guidelines.
- Facilitate internal and external model reviews and address maintenance and material handling queries.
- Coordinate multidiscipline design modifications during human factor close-out activities.
Requirements:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a degree in mechanical engineering.
- Strong technical, planning, communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in PDMS, E3D, and S3D software.
- Awareness of API standards and guidelines for mechanical handling equipment.
- Design exposure to offshore platforms, FPSO, and FLNG.
- Awareness of offshore safety standards related to mechanical handling equipment.
