Manufacturing Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our Motor Manufacturing NPI team. As a key member of our engineering function, you will be responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing processes, equipment, and facilities to meet current and future production volume, quality, OHS, and cost requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Lead and develop capabilities in NPI Manufacturing, including developing, innovating, and improving manufacturing processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and GMP requirements.
- Process Development: Develop and direct engineering resources allocated to new process development and introduction, including budgeting and managing resources required to support new process development and introduction activities.
- Collaboration and Communication: Represent Manufacturing while working closely with Product Development to ensure robust, manufacturable products, and frequently interact with subordinates, stakeholders, and/or functional peer group managers.
- Strategy and Implementation: Focus on the development and implementation of strategic and operational objectives that help achieve organizational mission, and ensure that appropriate measures are in place to protect intellectual property and ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory, and other business systems.
- Education: Degree qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Engineering or Business management.
- Experience: At least 8 years relevant manufacturing experience, including experience in a similarly regulated industry, and experience leading engineering teams.
- Skills: Strong leadership and people development skills, strong communication skills, ability to collaborate with stakeholders, and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Education: Engineering degree with post-grad qualification.
- Experience: Medical device industry experience, training in project management, experiment methodology, Six Sigma, DFSS, or other related engineering topics.
- Skills: Experience with continuous improvement, maintaining Configuration control, line balancing, and Kanban practices, and extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment for high-volume production of discrete products.
