Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Textile Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating innovative textile concepts, developing original fabric designs, patterns, and colorways suitable for various textile applications.

Responsibilities:
  1. Market Analysis and Design Concept Development: Conduct market research to identify design opportunities and create innovative textile concepts.
  2. Design Development: Develop original fabric designs, patterns, and colorways suitable for various textile applications.
  3. Trend Forecasting: Develop seasonal color palettes and trend boards to ensure color consistency and accuracy from design to production.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise effectively with Sales, Merchandising, Production, R&D, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure design feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with market demands.
  5. Sampling and Prototyping: Prepare detailed design specifications and technical packs for sampling, conduct aesthetic and technical evaluations of samples, and make necessary adjustments to achieve the desired outcome.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a Textile Designer in a textile mill or a relevant manufacturing environment.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in textile design concepts, patterns, and color application.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Experience with 3D design software (e.g., CLO3D, Optitex) or CAD/CAM for textiles is a significant advantage.
  • Solid understanding of textile manufacturing processes, including knitting, weaving, dyeing, printing, and various finishing techniques.
  • Knowledge of different fiber types, yarns, and fabric constructions.
  • Keen eye for color, texture, and pattern, with a strong sense of aesthetics and market trends.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
