Senior Electrical Project Manager

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager to join our team at Arup, a global consulting firm with a passion for shaping a better world.
As a Senior Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day delivery and management of Science and Technology projects. You will articulate a vision for our data center and mission-critical projects, coordinating and focusing resources to meet client needs and deliver profitable results.
About the RoleThe role is part of our senior management team that collectively leads the Singapore Electrical team. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development, implementation, and management of overall strategy and business plans for the MEP team, driving growth and profit opportunities.
- Developing project plans and implementing them effectively, ensuring delivery is managed commercially, technically, and financially, minimizing risk to both Arup and the client.
- Establishing and implementing a strategic approach to client engagement and business development, developing and maintaining good relationships with industry networks, clients, architects, government agencies, JV partners, sub-consultants, and construction contractors relevant to the MEP Team's activities.
- Leading teams for the development, design, and management of large, complex, long-term projects as lead designer or Technical/Project Director, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, people, facilities, resources, etc., within tight timelines and budgetary constraints.
- BUILDING A PLAN TO ACHIEVE OPERATING AND FINANCIAL PLAN TARGETS AND DEVELOPING THE GROUP TO ENABLE A CONSISTENT AND AGREED PROFIT MARGIN AND CASH FLOW.
- Continually enhancing our technical edge and innovation in all projects delivered, driving sustainability focus into our work.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 20 years' experience in leadership and management of diverse teams for the design and construction of international airport projects or similar-scale and complexity projects.
- An Electrical Professional Engineer (P.E) licensed by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) of Singapore OR Chartered/Registered engineer of a recognized engineer international institution equivalent to PEB in Singapore.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in engineering consultancy and design, including advising clients on innovative, cost-effective, sustainable solutions.
- Experience in bidding for large-scale projects, pitching to clients, and strong contract negotiation skills.
- A broad knowledge of building services design issues (including ESD, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Hydraulics), to lead a team working in these fields.
