We are seeking a highly qualified Research Fellow to join the Centre for Advanced Robotics Technology Innovation (CARTIN) team. The successful candidate will conduct research on mission decomposition and identify best practices, develop an efficient modeling framework, and apply the developed methods in a simulation testbed to validate their efficacy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct literature research on STOA of mission decomposition to identify innovative approaches and best practices.
2. Develop an efficient modeling framework that captures various operational requirements and uncertain operational environments, enabling data-driven decision making.
3. Design and implement an effective mission analysis and decomposition method to optimize complex operations.
4. Apply the developed modeling and decomposition methods in a simulation testbed to validate their efficacy.
5. Publish research findings in reputable journals and conferences, particularly ICRA, to contribute to the scientific community.
6. Assist the project Principal Investigator in mentoring research students, fostering their growth and development.
Job Requirements:
1. Hold a PhD degree in relevant fields with a strong focus on formal methods, modeling, and analysis of complex operations under uncertain environments.
2. Demonstrate a robust publication record in relevant fields, showcasing expertise and contribution to the field.
3. Possess knowledge in modeling, simulation, and analysis of sea operations, which is highly desirable but not mandatory.
4. Excel in English proficiency, essential for conducting research and communicating effectively.
