Job Title: Regional Risk and Compliance Professional

About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled risk and compliance professional to lead our internal control function, ensuring robust, effective, and compliant processes across Asia Pacific operations. This pivotal role contributes to the broader corporate governance framework, playing a crucial part in driving strategic goals while adhering to legal and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, organize, and execute internal controls for efficient, effective, and compliant processes.
  2. Establish and maintain internal control systems tailored to Asia Pacific offices' needs.
  3. Regularly review and evaluate internal controls, compliance procedures, and documentation to ensure consistency and quality.
  4. Assist in resolving audit action items and reviewing responses to internal audit results.
  5. Provide compliance training and support through issuing updates and training materials.
  6. Ensure data protection processes comply with local regulations and organizational policies.
  7. Lead Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) activities for Asia Pacific offices.
  8. Report risk management issues and provide recommendations for improvement.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in related field.
  • Knowledge of up-to-date changes and developments in laws and regulations.
  • Good communication skills and ability to maintain relationships with professionals at all levels.
  • Ability to work well with a team as well as independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Japanese language skill is an advantage.
