Job Description

$150,000 - $200,000 per year

The Associate Director, Network & Security Infrastructure plays a critical role in supporting the Singtel IT team in architecting, building, and operating modern, effective, and efficient network infrastructure services. This includes designing and implementing network security solutions across all corporate networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop long-term, mid-term, and short-term strategic plans to evolve Singtel's network infrastructure systems in line with emerging technologies. Translate these strategies into implementable plans, manage associated Capex for projects, and optimize Opex in operations.
  • Solution Design & Implementation: Lead the Solution Design & Implementation Team, responsible for network system architecture design and project delivery, network security design and project delivery, network disaster recovery design and project delivery, and networking design for applications and project delivery.
  • Network Operations Support: Provide network operations support to the Singtel Group, encompassing network operations support, network connectivity from on-prem to hybrid multi-cloud, firewall operations support, load balancer operations support, VPN operations support, network security operations support, NAC, IPS/IDS, AAA remote access management, and more.
  • Drive Network Transformation: Implement and support SDN and SDWAN, active-active data center with GSLB (GTM, LTM), next-generation firewall & load balancer, NAC solution for all network-connected locations, zero-trust network and micro-segmentation, network connectivity from on-prem to hybrid multi-cloud, and next-generation proxy solutions.
  • Tech Refresh: Ensure timely tech refresh in line with emerging technologies.
  • Standards and Best Practices: Establish and maintain network infrastructure & security standards and best practices.
  • Application Workload Migration: Support and maintain application workload migration into SDN & Cloud.
  • People Management: Strong people management skills, creating performance teams, building talent, enabling KL & SG Network teams to deliver 24x7 operations support, and establishing a secure environment with industry standards.
  • Vendor Management: Support multiple vendors, platforms, and systems unique to the company.
  • Project Demand Request Planning: Undertake responsibility in project demand request planning, architecture design, solution evaluation, procurement of hardware and software, and project timeline delivery.
  • Process Improvement: Ensure continuous process improvement and uplift service level standards to achieve optimal efficiency, increase productivity, and meet high customer expectations and satisfaction.
  • Technology Recommendations: Keep abreast of new technology and recommend implementing the right-fit technology to increase productivity and service standards within the organization.
  • Lifecycle Management: Support and drive infrastructure services lifecycle management.
  • AOP Initiatives: Support AOP initiatives and manage CAPEX and OPEX targets defined by the Group.

Requirements:

  • IT/Engineering-related degree or equivalent.
  • Network and security-related certifications.
  • At least 15 years of experience in managing network operations at an enterprise level (> 500 staffs) with multiple locations.
  • Technical skills: TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, Routers, Switches, Wireless Mgmt, VPN, VLAN, VPLS, MPLS, interworking OSPF, EIGRP, IGRP, RIP, BGP, IPSec, GRE/L2TP tunnel, NAT, DNS, NAC, IPAM, SDN, SDWAN, Cloud connectivity.
