Tunnel Excavation Specialist

As a Tunnel Excavation Specialist, you will play a critical role in the construction of underground tunnels. Your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM), ensuring its optimal performance and safety throughout the excavation process.
Your key duties will include assisting the Maintenance and Engineering team with the assembly and disassembly of the TBM, operating the machine, and maintaining its line and grade while steering it through the tunnel. You will also be responsible for undertaking cutterhead and tool inspections during the drive, taking charge of emergency situations within the TBM, and identifying and communicating any working environment safety hazards.
To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of three years of experience as a TBM Operator, with additional experience in Slurry Plant operations being an advantage. You must possess certificates in Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course (BCSS) and Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course (BCSS-T). Additionally, you should have strong skills in factory settings, troubleshooting, construction, secondary education, housekeeping, GMP, unloading, electrical systems, machine tools, raw materials, CNC machining, attention to detail, medical devices, assembly, and manufacturing processes.
