We are seeking a highly skilled Broadcast Engineer to join our team at Target Recruitment Pte. Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our broadcast systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Engineering Manager in maintaining and troubleshooting broadcast equipment and systems.
  • Review and improve broadcast operations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest broadcast technology and equipment.
  • Supervise and train junior engineers in broadcast operations and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement procedures for video equipment testing and preparation.
  • Ensure effective communication and escalation of technical issues during projects.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Engineering to improve and test system designs.
  • Supervise and schedule maintenance of broadcast equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor and report on the physical and technical quality of broadcast equipment.
  • Plan and maintain a list of broadcast equipment requiring scheduled maintenance.
Pre-Project Responsibilities:
  • Test, prepare, and evaluate broadcast equipment for projects.
  • Assign tasks to the team for testing and preparation of new projects.
  • Adjust task schedules according to available manpower and deadlines.
  • Participate in client and contractor meetings and site recces as required.
  • Prepare engineering books for each project with relevant technical information.
During Project Responsibilities:
  • Support projects with technical issues during rotation.
  • Ensure broadcast equipment and systems are running smoothly.
  • Solve and escalate technical problems to the Unit Manager or Support Team.
  • Liaise with clients and ensure their needs are met.
  • Report equipment and safety issues to the Unit Manager.
  • Protect company assets, brand reputation, and image.
  • Assist the Unit Manager in filling out fault report forms and interpreting technical specifications.
Post-Project Responsibilities:
  • Ensure de-rig of video/broadcast equipment is safely completed after events.
  • Support the Unit Manager in preparing technical reports and crew reports.
  • Write technical feedback on system and setup to the Head of Engineering.
  • Take necessary actions based on technical reports.
  • Conduct testing of video equipment after projects and report any faults.
Requirements:
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel regularly, sometimes for long periods.
  • Good knowledge of safety principles in the TV industry.
  • Relevant degree or diploma and aptitude in broadcast engineering or related field.
  • Understanding of OB systems and environment.
  • Experience with operating and troubleshooting OB equipment in sound, communication, and IP.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in an Outside Broadcast environment.
  • Experience with large-scale events is necessary.
