  • Oversee the technical status of designated vessels, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for machineries, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.
  • Utilize troubleshooting skills to identify and rectify machineries faults/defects, ensuring vessel safety and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Class surveyors and Auditors to schedule Statutory & Class surveys/Audits, ensuring timely completion and compliance.
  • Monitor onboard maintenance systems, identifying deficiencies and non-conformities from vetting inspections, port state control, audits, and flag state inspections.
  • Manage the vessels' technical budget, ensuring the highest technical reliability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct routine vessel inspections and technical auditing on a periodic basis, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Investigate accidents when technical expertise and input are necessary, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are taken.
  • Plan and execute dry-docking activities, ensuring effective planning and efficient execution.
  • Strive to improve all aspects of the safety performance of the operating vessels, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Travel overseas to attend to vessels when required, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
  • Diploma in Marine Engineering with a few years seagoing/relevant experience serving as at least Class 4 COC and/or 4th Engineer experience.
  • Knowledge of ISM and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Remuneration packages will be commensurate with experience.
