Procurement Specialist

As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for purchasing goods and services from suppliers. Your primary objective will be to ensure that the company procures materials and equipment at the best possible prices and on time.

The role involves research and evaluation of potential suppliers to develop new vendors in accordance with the company's standard operating procedures (SOP). You will source and procure materials or equipment according to project requirements, liaise and build good rapport with suppliers, operations teams, and other departments. Additionally, you will generate purchase orders and forward them to respective suppliers, expedite and follow up with suppliers for on-time delivery, coordinate with the store to check stock levels, and place orders as needed.

You will also prepare and distribute procurement and delivery reports to respective departments timely. Furthermore, you will keep abreast of market/price situations and conduct regular price comparisons.

  • Possess good analytical and organizational skills.
  • Be a result-oriented team player with good interpersonal skills and a desire to strive for continuous improvement.
  • Possess initiative, keen to learn, with a can-do attitude and good team player.
  • Able to work well under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to start work within short notice.
