Early Years Educator

This is a challenging and rewarding role for a dedicated professional to work with infants/toddlers in a centre environment.

Job Description:

  • To assess the needs of children, develop and implement activities that cater to their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Work collaboratively with the Centre Supervisor and other staff members to enhance the quality of children's educational experiences.
  • Contribute to the centre's initiatives, educational programs, and projects by utilizing your professional expertise.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with parents as partners in care and education.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in early years education and continually upgrade your skills and knowledge.
  • Exemplify professionalism in appearance, speech, and action at all times.
  • Take charge of planning and implementing daily developmental and caregiving tasks for a group of infants.
  • Attend to the health, hygiene, and safety needs of the infants under your care.
  • Supervise Infant Care Assistants and provide guidance and support when needed.

A key aspect of this role is to create a secure and nurturing environment for young children through reciprocal relationships.

Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum to provide a high-quality learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have an Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY) or Higher Certificate in Infant Care (HCIC). Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also essential.

Key Responsibilities include: building strong relationships with parents, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in early years education, and exemplifying professionalism in appearance, speech, and action.
