Job Title: Assistant Manager

The Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the delivery of student and academic services related to the taught MA programme(s) in the School of Humanities.

Key Responsibilities:Student Admission
  • Process and review applications to ensure timely and efficient admission process.
  • Oversee the planning and monitoring of student admission progress to ensure compliance with university regulations.
  • Monitor admission numbers and take appropriate actions to moderate or boost intake numbers as needed.
  • Plan and execute marketing outreach, student orientation, and information sessions to promote the programme.
  • Collaborate with various departments within the university to address student matters.
Programme Operations
  • Oversee and manage the administrative and logistical aspects of the programme, including academic advisory services, course proposal submissions, timetabling, budgeting, and process optimisation.
  • Provide administrative support to faculties, adult learners, students, and alumni.
Continuing Education and Training (CET) Course
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth planning and execution of courses.
  • Manage and oversee CET operational support, including enrolment, budgeting, billing, payment, hiring, and class scheduling.
  • Manage and oversee CET enquiries and associated tasks related to the SkillsFuture Scheme.
  • Optimise and improve processes to enhance programme delivery.
Publicity, Outreach, and Event Support

Lead the team in driving the programme's publicity and outreach efforts in consultation with the Assistant Director and Programme Director, and in collaboration with relevant units in the school and college for student recruitment campaigns. This includes managing and creating website and social media content for marketing purposes. The incumbent will also assist in planning and coordinating other events, such as seminars and workshops, organised by the programme.

Budget and Reporting
  • Manage the budget and expenditures of the Graduate (Coursework) Programmes.
  • Provide reports on the Graduate (Coursework) Programmes as required.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Humanities, Social Sciences, or Business Administration.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in a higher educational institution or management of professional education programmes.
  • Prior experience in event management, content management, and creation for marketing (website and social media).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A strong collaborator with the ability to work well within the team and with key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Proficient in online communication software such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
