PhD Opportunity in Atmospheric Chemistry Research

We are seeking highly motivated PhD candidates to study atmospheric chemistry.
Research Objectives- Urban, biogenic, and fire emissions and chemistry will be studied using atmospheric chemistry modeling.
- Secondary pollutant formation and model-measurement evaluation with satellite, ground networks, and campaign data will also be investigated.
The research will focus on developing a deep understanding of the complex interactions between emissions and atmospheric chemistry, and how these interactions impact air quality and climate.
Qualifications- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in atmospheric science, environmental engineering, physics, chemistry, data science, or related field is required.
- Experience with at least one relevant modeling tool (e.g., WRF, CMAQ, GEOS-Chem, CAMx) is necessary.
- Programming proficiency in Python/R/Fortran/Matlab is expected.
- Strong quantitative skills and clear scientific writing and communication in English are essential.
- Funding and support for PhD studies will be provided according to NUS PhD scholarship guidelines.
