We are seeking a highly skilled Climate Change Policy Analyst to join our Carbon Markets Policy & Guidance team in Singapore. The successful candidate will have experience in climate policy, carbon markets, and corporate climate strategies.

About the Role

This is a mid- to senior-level research position that involves tracking organisations and governments seeking to shape private sector responses to climate change and the development of the carbon credit market on the path to net zero. The role requires analysis of national and subnational climate and carbon market policy in a range of countries, including conducting interviews and preparing country profiles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse national and subnational climate and carbon market policy in a range of countries, including conducting interviews and preparing country profiles.
  • Track developments in international policy and standards relating to climate change, net zero and the voluntary carbon market.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research across the policy areas covered by the team.
  • Develop thought leadership on carbon markets and climate policy, with a focus on Asia-Pacific.
  • Communicate insights internally and externally through client meetings, conferences, monthly reporting, an online platform, webinars, and other research projects.
Your Skills and Experience
  • You should have an undergraduate and/or post-graduate degree in Environmental Studies, Climate Change, Geography, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years' experience from the public, private, financial or NGO sectors relating to climate change, net zero, carbon markets or similar.
  • Experience with national climate policy or international climate negotiations is particularly welcomed.
  • Proven responsibility for delivering reports, briefings, or other outputs.
  • Excellent English-language communication, writing and presentation skills to clearly articulate ideas and facilitate strong relations with a global team of carbon and climate research analysts, technology and operations teams.
  • Other language skills of relevance to the Asia-Pacific region would be a major asset in this role.

You are a results-driven professional with a passion for addressing climate change in the corporate and financial sectors. You have excellent written communications skills and can extract insights and communicate them with clarity to senior-level audiences.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of SGD 80,000 - 120,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes medical and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, paid annual leave and sick leave, and training and development opportunities.
