Montessori Educator Role

Job Description

As a Montessori educator, you will lead a model classroom and be responsible for designing and maintaining a safe, inviting, and orderly learning environment that fosters children's intellectual, social, and emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and maintain a prepared Montessori environment that is safe, inviting, and ordered.
  • Ensure constant supervision and safety of children, adhering to city-mandated teacher-to-child ratios.
  • Closely collaborate with Assistant Guides to deliver high-quality Montessori learning experiences.
  • Deliver Montessori lessons in a thoughtful, sequential manner aligned with Guidepost Montessori training standards.
  • Observe and document each child's development, strengths, and interests, using this insight to tailor support in accordance with Montessori principles.
  • Engage with children in a warm, respectful, and joyful way that nurtures independence and confidence.
  • Apply constructive feedback from fellow Lead Guides, your Montessori Mentor, and the Head of School to continuously enhance classroom practices.
  • Collaboratively address student challenges through teamwork with your Mentor, Head of School, and peers.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications include a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field and a MACTE-accredited Montessori Diploma (AMI or AMS preferred). A minimum of 3 years' experience working with children aged 2-6 years is also required.

Benefits
