Outdoor Medical Specialist

The National Youth Council (NYC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Outdoor Nurse Practitioner to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical care to participants and staff in various outdoor environments, including remote and austere settings.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in acute hospitals. Pre-hospital, emergency or critical care experience will be advantageous. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
As a Senior Outdoor Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for:
- Providing first-line medical care to participants and staff in outdoor settings.
- Assessing and treating patients in remote and austere environments.
- Leading projects related to medical training, quality improvement, and operational capability development.
- Working with other NYC units, government agencies, vendors, and industry partners.
Requirements include a Singapore Registered Nurse with Singapore Nursing Board, and a macro perspective of issues with an eye for details. A team player who is effective, resourceful, and takes initiative at work is essential. Strong administrative capabilities with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are also required.
