Mechanical Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Specialist to join our team. As a Mechanical Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of mechanical equipment and facilities. Your primary focus will be on maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment, including pumps, tanks, piping, and valves. You will also be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, and carrying out repairs as needed.

In addition to your technical skills, you will be expected to work closely with other departments to ensure that all activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications and skills:

  • A minimum of a NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working with mechanical equipment, preferably in the water and waste water treatment industries or chemical process industries
  • Class 3 driving license (an added advantage)
  • Able to work 44 hours per week
