Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Network Architectural Specialist to join our team at SYNAPXE PTE. LTD. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in network design, implementation, and maintenance.

About the Role

This is a senior-level position that requires a high degree of technical expertise and leadership skills. As a Network Architectural Specialist, you will be responsible for driving the implementation of infrastructure operations and maintenance strategies to ensure the availability of stable and secure systems.

You will manage project resource allocation, develop infrastructure implementation, operations, and maintenance engineers, scope out policies, and set performance expectations. You will identify problems and present new methodologies and/or solutions to key stakeholders to enhance and improve the delivery of infrastructure operations and maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities
  • SUPPORT INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION
    • Support technical system analysis to determine the extent to which solutions perform 'as required' to ensure that future solutions meet anticipated demand.
    • Support the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions that adhere to current architecture standards.
    • Lead the design installations, system migration, and integration.
    • Lead the testing and handover of implemented infrastructure solutions.
  • SUPPORT INFRASTRUCTURE OPERATIONS
    • Support delivery of optimal infrastructure operations.
    • Create documents on administration, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
    • Apply diagnostic tools to perform technical analysis of complex software, hardware, and infrastructure equipment.
    • Support the development of reports on infrastructure capabilities and limitations.
  • MaintAIN INFRASTRUCTURE
    • Support the improvement of maintenance capability by using automation for upgrades, enterprise backup, and storage.
    • Identify key infrastructure operations issues and maintenance priorities.
    • Support the implementation of agreed infrastructure change requests and maintenance routines.
    • Develop reports on performance and availability of infrastructure systems by reviewing service uptime, utilization, throughput, etc.
  • OPTIMISE INFRASTRUCTURE PERFORMANCE
    • Support initiatives to improve infrastructure systems and service delivery through automation and virtualization technologies.
    • Support the monitoring of performance, availability, and security of infrastructure systems and key operational metrics.
  • RESOLVE INCIDENTS
    • Support problem/issue identification and resolution.
    • Escalate problems/issues.
    • Support simulation of user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
    • Diagnose problem source through discussions with users.
    • Recommend system modifications to reduce user problems.
    • Support planned maintenance events, system backup processes, and disaster recovery drills.
    • Support the implementation of preventive solutions.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering.
  • Possession of CCNA, CCNP, and CCIE certifications is preferred.
  • At least 5-8 years of network experience.
  • Experience in leading a team of 3-5 network engineers.
  • Familiarity with Cisco, F5, and VM technologies.
  • Exposure to large-scale project execution.
  • Open to supporting patches/upgrades and tech refresh (after office hours/weekends).

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
