Proprietary Trader - Agricultural Sector

A key role for a Proprietary Futures Trader specializing in the Agricultural sector involves creating and implementing commodity arbitrage trading strategies and execution utilizing expertise in the agricultural products industry.

  • We seek an expert to take ownership of arbitrage trading for agricultural product futures and commodity futures, encompassing both offshore and onshore products, including grains, veg oils, soy etc.
  • Ongoing tasks include monitoring brokerage bank funds and monthly positions, with updates communicated promptly to the trading supervisor.
  • The successful candidate will collect, organise, and analyse industry data, monitor industry trends, conduct thorough research within their designated sector, and prepare insightful research reports.
  • Demonstrating a keen eye for recognising valuable investment opportunities within the market is essential.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience within the futures or securities finance industry with Futures or commodities arbitrage and a solid P&L track record.
  • Showcasing perceptive market insights, combined with exceptional organisational, planning and logical analysis skills, effective communication, coordination, and execution abilities.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong sense of initiative, responsibility, and execution capability, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, coupled with a collaborative team spirit.
  • Thriving in diverse work environments and effectively managing work pressure is also necessary.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, engineering or related field is required.
