About the Role:
The Ministry of Finance is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to support its Performance & Evaluation directorate in delivering better value and accountability for public spending and outcomes.
The role involves working on three key strategies: strengthening evaluation capabilities, promoting effective performance reporting and monitoring, and nurturing good governance.
You will have the opportunity to work on policy formulation, programme reviews, and performance reporting.
- Formulate and implement programme evaluation policies to advance strategic outcomes, cost-effectiveness, and resource sustainability.
- Work with public agencies to scope and conduct programme and project evaluations to strengthen programme design and cost effectiveness.
- Facilitate effective performance reporting and drive efforts to monitor and address governance-related issues across the public sector.
About the Team:
The Ministry of Finance works to maintain international standards and best practices in areas such as company law, accounting standards, and corporate governance principles.
We aim to advance the well-being and development of Singapore by achieving a balanced budget through prudent and sustainable fiscal policies, ensuring the prudent investment of the government's reserves and other public funds, and setting out policies for government procurement and customs regulation.
About You:
We are looking for someone with a background in economics, data handling, finance/accounting, programme/project planning, performance reporting, and/or programme evaluation.
Demonstrate good analytical thinking, being able to analyse different complex issues from a strategic perspective, anticipate challenges, and recommend actionable solutions.
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills to engage and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders across all levels of seniority.
Self-driven and committed, with a positive attitude and work ethic.
