Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a research team that will develop software platforms for supporting multi-user AR/VR applications.

  • Develop interactive metaverse applications for online education, team collaboration and workplace training with a focus on real-time interactive simulation.

  • Design and implement multiplayer architecture and backend services for real-time AR/VR multiplayer systems.

  • Design and build game engines for both client and server.

  • Perform testing and documentation and optionally publish papers to international conferences/journals.

  • Carry out risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with the research team to deliver project outcomes.

Participate in regular meetings and contribute to discussions to ensure alignment with project goals.

Requirements:

Applicants should have:

  • A degree in Computer Science or relevant field.

  • Experience with software development life cycle.

  • Strong knowledge of C++ and/or JavaScript for 3D/VR applications (e.g., A-Frame).

  • Experience in developing XR apps for teaching & learning/training.

  • Experience developing optimized modules in C#/C++ within Unity and/or Unreal Engine.

  • Experience with database management systems.
