Job Title: Shift Technician

Overview:

As a Shift Technician, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring plant equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient production. You will apply your knowledge of chemical plant operations to follow documented procedures and protocols.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate, monitor, and control plant equipment and systems.
  • Apply knowledge of chemical plant operations to follow documented procedures.
  • Carry out minor troubleshooting and prepare equipment for maintenance safely.
  • Recognize unsafe plant conditions and report near misses, deviations, or incidents to supervisors promptly.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Nitec in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in a chemical processing environment.
  • Experience in polymerization and/or extrusion is advantageous.
  • Possess basic knowledge of chemical processing with working knowledge of ISO14001, ISO9001/IATF16949, and ISO45001.
  • Able to work shifts in a fast-paced environment.
