Research Consultant">This is an opportunity to work on a multi-country study focused on community needs assessment and the evaluation of a global health intervention aimed at improving access to safe drinking water. The initiative combines portable water filtration technology with capacity-building on water treatment and sanitation, and is implemented across hospital, rural, and school settings in Southeast Asia in collaboration with UNICEF, the World Health Organization, and local partners.">The evaluation aims to understand community needs, perceptions, and behavioural drivers related to water insecurity and use of filtration systems, while also assessing the adoption, effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, environmental impact of the intervention.">This role offers hands-on experience in program evaluation, field-based public health research, and cross-country collaboration with international partners across Southeast Asia, along with exposure to other global health research initiatives within the organization.">About the Role:">We are seeking a Research Consultant to support this initiative. The successful candidate will oversee the baseline community assessment and overall evaluation of the intervention, working closely with the PI and local research teams. They will manage field-based data collection, design and validate survey instruments, conduct quantitative data analysis, draft evaluation reports, and create data visualizations to communicate results to stakeholders.">Responsibilities:">

  4. Design and validate survey instruments and context-appropriate evaluation indicators.">
  5. Conduct quantitative data analysis of the longitudinal survey and monitoring data.">
  6. Draft evaluation reports, policy briefs, and technical documentation.">
  7. Create data visualizations to communicate results to stakeholders.">
  8. Work collaboratively with economic evaluation experts and qualitative researchers to integrate quantitative findings into a broader mixed-methods evaluation framework.">
  9. Support capacity-building efforts for local field teams and partners in evaluation design and data collection.">
">Qualifications:">
  • ">
  • A Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Data Science/Analytics, Psychology, or related disciplines.">
  • A minimum of 3 years of research experience, preferably in program evaluation, public health or applied social science.">
  • Proficiency in at least one statistical software (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS, Python).">
  • Expertise in quantitative analysis, with preferred skills in quasi-experimental evaluation techniques (e.g., Difference-in-Difference, PSM), Social Network Analysis / Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) / Multilevel Modelling (MLM).">
  • Familiarity with Laos or Southeast Asia is a plus.">
  • Strong project management skills and ability to engage multiple stakeholders and community partners.">
