Science Laboratory Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Science Laboratory Assistant to join our team at UNISOFT INFOTECH PTE LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to our science department in the preparation and execution of science experiments, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our science facilities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare science apparatus and equipment for science experiments
  • Assist teachers in the conduct of science experiments and science enrichment programs
  • Monitor the operations of the Hydroponics System
  • Support in the preparation of resources for science department events
  • Ensure the safety of the science rooms by keeping updated on safety guidelines and adhering to safety protocols
  • Monitor the utilization rate of science resources and apparatus
  • Conduct stock-takes of science resources, apparatus, equipment, and consumables
  • Check on usability of science apparatus and equipment and collate list of damaged items
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the science rooms and Hydroponics System
  • Perform any other duties assigned by School Leaders or HOD Science

Requirements
  • GCE 'O' level or equivalent qualifications with at least 1 combined Science subject
  • At least 3 years of experience working in a primary school environment as a science lab assistant
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Meticulous with good planning and organizing abilities
  • Knowledge in the preparation and setting up of apparatus and materials in both Life Science and Physical Science
  • Interacts well with students
