Job Description

The Construction Operations Coordinator will be responsible for planning and scheduling work sequences for construction operations. They will study project requirements through tender/construction drawings, specifications, and contracts. The incumbent will liaise with consultants, clients, and contractors to coordinate site activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating site inspections to ensure work is done according to project specifications and approved drawings.
  • Leading supervisors in coordinating works with contractors and authorities on project progress and technical issues.
  • Deploying resources like manpower, machinery, equipment, and materials effectively.
  • Preparing progress reports, method statements, and technical submissions.
  • Ensuring projects comply with regulations and client specifications.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field such as construction management, engineering, or architecture.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of construction processes and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and contractors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
