Job Overview

National University Polyclinics is establishing a new Stem Cell Therapy Hub to expand its Specialized Programmes. We are seeking a Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform cell, tissue, and gene therapy product manufacturing and quality assurance testing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manufacturing procedures according to cGMP and environmental health and safety guidelines.
  • Conduct routine QC and in-process testing sampling of CTGT products at various stages throughout manufacturing.
  • Complete relevant manufacturing batch records and logbooks adhering to Good Documentation Practice (GDP).
  • Clean and maintain equipment and classified areas in manufacturing areas according to SOPs.
  • Report procedure deviations, adverse incidents, and out-of-specification results to the supervisor.
  • Undertake simple preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment to ensure proper working conditions.
  • Participate in laboratory administrative work such as filing, processing delivery orders, and invoices.
  • Support new manufacturing and quality control processes under the supervision of Manufacturing Lead.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Science, or equivalent.
  • Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree will be considered an advantage.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in biopharmaceutical and/or medical device manufacturing industry.
  • Prior technical knowledge in batch biopharmaceutical processing being an advantage.
