Job Title:

Procurement Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee project cost budgets and cash-flow, monitoring changes in design/construction work.
  • Sourcing and liaising with site personnel, suppliers, sub-contractors, consultants, and architects for all project-related matters.
  • Responsible for progress claims, variation orders, final accounts, and sub-contractor progress claims.
  • Working closely with the project team to oversee the procurement team in analyzing, evaluating, and negotiating quotations.
  • Communicating with technical teams to ensure that quotations are compliant with specifications and methods of construction.
  • Producing quantity measurements within targeted timelines.
  • Preparing and calling quotations, including analyzing and evaluating costs for tender or negotiating and awarding subcontracts.
  • Reviewing and preparing agreements for award to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Certifying and evaluating progress work done, including contract administration for variations for both subcontract and main contract works.
  • Assessing and submitting monthly progress claims and recommending subcontractor's monthly progress payments.
  • Finalizing subcontract and main contract's final accounts.

Requirements:

  • A degree/diploma in projects and facilities management, building and construction management, procurement, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • High motivation, self-drive, and initiative to work independently in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal skills, and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and methodical approach to work.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD and the ability to learn new specialist software.
