We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Scientist to join our team at the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N). This is an exciting opportunity for a researcher with expertise in material characterization and extraction techniques to contribute to our solar energy research.
Job DescriptionAs a Senior Research Scientist, you will be responsible for leading research projects focused on the development of sustainable solar energy technologies. Your primary role will involve designing and executing experiments to extract metals from silicon solar panels, as well as curating and managing experimental data.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in chemistry, engineering, or material science, with a strong background in material characterization techniques such as X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence, and Inductively-coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute experiments aimed at the extraction and recovery of metals from silicon solar panels
- Curate and manage experimental data, and assist in preparation of reports, presentations, technological disclosures, and manuscripts
- Conduct training and mentoring of staff, interns, and students when required
- Assist in laboratory equipment maintenance and management
- PhD in chemistry, engineering, or material science, with a strong background in material characterization techniques
- At least 1-2 years of working experience in a research setting, with a proven track record of publication and collaboration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cohesively in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and ability to multitask
We offer a competitive salary range of SGD $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
