Job Summary

TikTok PTE. LTD. is seeking a highly skilled Senior E-Commerce Backend Software Developer to join its team in Singapore.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing efficient, highly scalable, and secure services to build and integrate e-commerce solutions for TikTok Shop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining backend services and systems using Java, Golang, or Python.
  • Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other disciplines to explore next-generation shopping experiences on TikTok.
  • Building an intuitive and reliable shopping experience, including browsing product details, checkout, shopping, returns, and refunds.
  • Designing and developing computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
  • Analyzing user needs and developing software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & System Analysis, Science (Computer Studies), or related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing highly scalable backend services and systems using at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Golang, or Python.
  • Work experience with e-commerce products and/or a vertical industry, including monetization, retail, travel, financial services, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms, proficient in at least one coding language, including but not limited to Go, Java, C++.
  • Good understanding of business, technical abstraction, and system module design.
  • Large-scale website architecture experience.

Salary

S$80,000 - S$120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
