About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of technology risk governance strategies. The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT audit, risk management, or a related field, with a minimum of 12-15 years of experience in a relevant industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and maintain information and technology risk policies, standards, and guidelines that align with the bank's overall risk management framework.
  • Conduct regular reviews of technology standards and guidelines to ensure their adequacy and alignment with associated technology risks.
  • Identify emerging trends, hotspots, and potential technology risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Design and implement technical IT risk measures to ensure the effectiveness of the bank's risk management controls.
  • Partner with first-line peers to frame and report on infrastructure and cybersecurity risks, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Support and deliver effective risk governance committees on technology risks, providing expert insights and guidance.
  • Perform thematic second-line assurance reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular awareness training on cyber, information, and technology risks, and enhance business understanding of regulatory and compliance risk requirements.
  • Forge effective engagement with key stakeholders on risk management and governance matters, promoting a culture of risk-awareness and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12-15 years of working experience in a relevant field, preferably in IT audit, risk management, or a related industry.
  • More than 6 years of 2nd Line of Defence experience in a Financial institution, with a strong background in risk management and governance.
  • IT Audit background a plus, with knowledge of auditing standards and procedures.
  • Professional memberships and security certifications considered favourably, such as CISA, CISSP, or CRISC.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate complex technology risks.

Technical Experience:

  • Proficiency in risk assessment tools, data analysis, and reporting software, with experience in Agile, DevOps, SRE, and security frameworks.
  • Good knowledge of technology platforms and systems in banks, including databases, networks, and applications.
  • Sound knowledge in regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as Basel III, GDPR, and PCI-DSS.

Non-Technical Experience:

  • Ability to create awareness campaigns with key messages to uplift technology risk culture, promoting a culture of risk-awareness and accountability.
  • Proven critical analytical skills and ability to express a point of view supported by data, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adept at challenging and influencing Line 1 to make corrective actions, with a strong understanding of business operations and risk management.

Work Relationship:

  • Support Head of Unit in discharging team responsibilities, with a strong ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong ability in knowledge sharing with peers, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
