We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Social Work Associate to join our team at ST ANDREW'S MISSION HOSPITAL. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing administrative and clinical support to our Medical Social Workers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Medical Social Workers in carrying out administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Provide pre-admission and financial counseling to patients and their families, ensuring they receive the necessary support and resources.
  • Assist patients in applying for financial assistance schemes, such as Medifund and Household Means Testing (Subvention).
  • Keep accurate and confidential records of patient assessments, care plans, and interventions.
  • Provide secretarial support to Medical Social Workers, including data entry and filing.
  • Be involved in casework management of patients, ensuring timely and effective support.
  • Coordinate home visits and field work under the supervision of Medical Social Workers.
Requirements
  • Minimum 'O' level, 'A' level, or Diploma holders with 2 years of relevant healthcare industry experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Possess empathy and patience when dealing with residents, next-of-kin, and staff.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Bilingual (ability to speak local languages/dialects will be an added advantage).
  • A good team player with strong attention to detail.
  • Hard-working and open to learning.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
