Job Responsibilities

  • Manage new equipment start-up, liaise with vendors, and ensure acceptance for production.
  • Lead equipment improvements in OEE, maintenance cost, and preventive/predictive maintenance of assigned tools.
  • Resolve equipment-related major and minor stoppages, optimize equipment uptime, and minimize variability.
  • Ensure all equipment PMs and PM specs are up-to-date and maintenance activities are completed on schedule.
  • Lead and provide technical guidance to equipment technicians in maintaining tool performance and uptime.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects and solutions in Wafer Backend operations, focusing on UPH, Yield, Cost, and Productivity.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and a multi-cultural environment.
  • Lead spare part management, establish essential spares and consumables stock levels, and minimize costs.
  • Generate regular equipment downtime Pareto reports and analyze for chronic/repeated issues.
  • Able to perform testing activities using common equipment and quickly learn various test and operational software.
  • Works on special projects assigned by Direct Supervisor and responsible for housekeeping and cleanroom protocols.
  • Submit weekly reports on CIP progress and act promptly on quality issues.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of equipment experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Team player with good communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in visual inspection or test tools is an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and knowledge of fabguard, promis, minitab is beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of SPC and quality tools such as FMEA and Control Plan.
  • Self-driven leader with technical ability, systematic approach, and excellent problem-solving skills.
